Mari was diagnosed with Covid on November 19, 2021 . On Monday, November 29, Neal was trying to wake her to go to an appointment but she was unresponsive, she had labored breathing but was breathing on her own. Neal called an ambulance and she was taken to the hospital.
It was discovered that her blood sugar level was over 900. She has never been diagnosed as diabetic. Since the 29th, she has been sedated while hospital staff have been bringing her vitals to normal ranges. As part of this, she has been having non-convulsive seizures so they are keeping her sedated while working through this.
