Mom was brought to the hospital in the wee hours of Monday, Dec. 7 with increasing weakness and cold- or flu-like symptoms. She tested positive for COVID-19 and was hospitalized for about a week and survived COVID, but it took a lot out of her, and she came home with hospice care. Under the watchful eyes of Kathleen and then Jane, who went to B'ville for three weeks to help out, Mom has been made as comfortable as can be and is getting TLC as well as professional nursing, medical supervision, and professional personal care. None of us knows the road ahead, but we are glad to be able to connect here along this journey. Feel free to comment on updates or send a greeting along to Mom, which Kathleen can share with her.
