Margaret O'Brien

Welcome to our CaringBridge website for Margaret O'Brien. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. This story is provided by her children, Claudia and Scott, so for the rest of this story, we'll refer to Marge as "mom."


Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer nearly 20 years ago. For many years, the cancer appeared to be in remission, but in the last few years the cancer has returned, and is now present in other parts of her body. Mom has battled hard, but she is now in late stages, and we are trying our best to manage and limit her pain, and to have her time with us be filled with peace, happiness, and love from her family and friends. Dad and we will be forwarding this website to those whose email addresses we know, but if we have missed anyone, please feel free to forward it on. 


This is a place to celebrate mom's great life: her brilliant mind, her joyful spirit, her wonderful talents for teaching, her compassion, her drive to always do the right thing in any situation.    She's the best mom, spouse, and friend. We love you, mom!
