In June of 2018, my mom Sara was diagnosed with Mesothelioma, an aggressive cancer of the lining of the lung. In July she underwent a complicated surgery called a Pleurectomy to remove the cancerous lining. The procedure was done at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA.
