Dennis was diagnosed with Myelofibrosis in 2016, which is a genetic disorder in which the body's bone marrow stops producing the correct levels of blood cells. The related symptoms were minimal until recent months and presented most notably in his fatigue and general feelings of poor health. On July 28th, Dennis was admitted to GBMC and has decided to discontinue treatment, spending his remaining days in the comfort of his home.
His children are asking for help in the form of time. With Dennis at home, he will need round-the-clock care and monitoring. Schedules of need will be posted, but visitors throughout the day are always welcome.
