Lyn/Pili broke his ankle on Sunday, Feb. 12. Breaks on both sides required surgery, which took place on Wednesday, Feb. 15, to put pins in the bones. The surgery went well -- the surgeon said Pili has good, strong bones. However, the recovery is taking some time.
Kathy came down to Berkeley right away and has been caring for Pili. He has had significant pain, is taking pain meds and is immobilized by a big cast. Soon Kathy will need to return to Oregon and work, and Pili will need assistance for a while with meals, groceries, errands and various tasks at home until he can get around on his own.
We appreciate your support and any help you can offer. Kathy and friend Paula will be coordinating a calendar so friends can see when Pili will need help and can sign up for specific days. Thank you all so much!
