Hi, My name is Lynette Pretorius, 46 years old and being diagnosed with breast and lymph node cancer stage 2B! This was obviously a big shock to my system as I never imagine this could happen to me...
I discover a lump in my left breast a couple of days before we were going on our ski trip in December 2016 and thought I would just go in January to my OB/Gen for checkup. January came and things as all seems to be like a dream from thereon. Went for my first mammogram and sonogram. The sonogram doctor immediately saw some suspicious cells and had a biopsy 2 days later which confirmed cancer! Cried for 3 days non-stop and then made piece with it. This is just something that God had put on my path to overcome. A short journey walking with him, hand in hand, Him by my side the whole time!
Fast forward....through lovely friends, I got into a awesome surgent and oncologist Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center - UT Southwestern (

Going forward...receiving 8 treatments of chemo, then surgery and then radiation.
Kids are doing fine, Florisa 16 years old, starting to drive, Johan 14 years old, swimming only thing that helps him through this.
Pieter, my husband, very supportive and thankfully got a contract in Dallas, 5 minutes away from the chemo center.
