Welcome to our CaringBridge website.   Luke was diagnosed on January 26th, 2018, with stage 4 high risk Neuroblastoma.  He had a massive abdominal tumor and cancer of his bone marrow, and some cancerous spots on a few bones.   Luke was officially in remission on July 12th, 2018!  He is now undergoing antibody immunotherapy called Hu3f8, to clear any microscopic, undetectable cancer cells through December, 2018.  He will then move on to a vaccine trial that teaches his body how to create this antibody on its own, should the body ever detect this cancer in the future.  The national outcomes of survival are about 50%, however Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY, has a different regimen than the  national protocol, and has higher survival rates.  Luke will be doing much of his treatment at MSK.  Luke suffered a relapse in late October, with a tiny tumor on his brain.  This tumor was removed and we are proceeding on the brain relapse protocol which has a very favorable outcome.  We are using  this site to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
