lucian Ferraiolo Lucian's Hope

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. On Monday August 29th Lucian was riding his scooter and was struck by an automobile on Higgins Road in Cheshire.  Lucian is in critical condition. He is  at  Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford where he is receiving the best of care. Lucian has several fractures. He had a broken fibula and tibia, a broken pelvis, and 3 broken fingers..  He is currently in a coma and has severe head trauma.. He has monitor/vent in his head to monitor the swelling of his brain.. He has 2 small bleeds that were found on his brain.. He has had a fever since last night.. They have taken cultures to try to find cause of the fever.. Currently is levels are stable.. They were all over the place this morning... We are optimistic and confident he will come out of his coma and be able to start his recovery process.  We will update daily his condition.      *** NO DONATION REQUIRED OR EXPECTED PLEASE***
