The journey discovering my cancer is too long to discuss. It was essentially undiscovered until they opened me up to remove the ileum. Once the body cavity was open the doctor could clearly identify the type and stage, stage 4 carcinoid. This attacks all the neuroendrocine cells in the body. 
This is a rare cancer with only 30,000 cases worldwide. My brother will be managing my treatment plan and be my POA. Being a doctor he has knowledge that will be very helpful. I need a very special kind of scan and this equipment is rare. The plan has still not come together but this is where my friends and family can come together daily and I can keep you up to date.
