Lorraine Cordero

A few weeks ago, Lorraine went in for a colonoscopy for ongoing issues she had been experiencing. A mass was found and on June 29th she received news from her doctor, after her MRI scans came in, that she had Stage 4 Colon Cancer. To our dismay, it was also in her liver, in one of her lungs, and a lymphoid. 

But, we SERVE a BIG God.

She has made the decision to fight this. Immediately she underwent a dramatic change to her diet and lifestyle. No sugar, organic, no chemicals, etc.  She is in shape, only 43 years old, and a fighter.

Tomorrow (July 14, 2017) she will undergo her first chemo treatment.  The plan is for her to continue this for the next two months. The doctors’ want to shrink the tumors as much as possible. After the two months of chemo is completed, an MRI will be conducted to find out what the next step will be.

With that being said, our family has decided to have this space as our way of communication on Lorraine’s journey. 

What we need from you is to become a Prayer Warrior with our family!  We need your commitment to pray because I believe when warriors go down on their knees, the battle is not over. It has just begun! Join us, in faith, for total healing.  My mom has asked to please be in agreement with her that the chemo does what it has to do to destroy the cancer in her body, but that Lorraine will not have any side effects of this. That God would keep her nourished, give her strength every day and give energy that she will need.

She is a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a sister-in-law, a granddaughter, a niece, a cousin, and a friend too so many and we know MANY of you believe in the power of prayer!

As you can suspect, this is emotionally draining for our family between the doctor’s appointments and phone calls.  My mom will be there constantly for comfort and help (God Bless Gerardo lol).  I will try and give updates every Friday and as things change.

For now, we need your prayers as she begins her healing process (that’s what she is calling it) with chemo tomorrow at 8am MST. Pray for Elijah and Yzabella. Pray for Gerardo as he balances the home and business. Pray strength for him and a peace that passes all understanding for their family.

 Let’s get ready to watch God SHOW OFF!
