Most of you know that I was diagnosed in August with Colon Cancer.  I am very fortunate that is was discovered early.  It could have been another 3-5 years before it was discovered.  I went to the ER in June for lower right abdominal pain, was diagnosed with colitis and was referred to a specialist.  A colonoscopy was scheduled.  Turns out colitis was nothing but a simple inflammation.  However, polyps and a cancerous mass were discovered, totally unrelated to what brought me there in the first place.  I underwent surgery in September and the mass was successfully removed.  24 lymph nodes were also removed for testing.  1 of the 24 tested positive for cancer...and so begins the next part of this journey, chemo treatments.
