August 2018:
Our Mom has now been diagnosed with colon cancer. Her surgery to have it removed is now rescheduled to Thursday, 8/9. They will be testing to see if it has spread to her lymph nodes. If it has, then chemotherapy would be next. Please pray that her surgery will go well and that it has not spread! Please pray for both of my parents, for continued strength in fighting their battles, for continued faith, and for continued positive outlooks!


June 2018:
Dad turned 70 years young this past January, while in the hospital for complications due to his Diabetes (Type 1). He started dialysis 3 times weekly and has been maintaining that schedule since then.  Around the beginning of May he was approved for a living-donor kidney transplant . Since then, he has been undergoing pre-op tests to make sure he is able to safely receive a kidney. During these tests, they found some cancer in his colon and liver, but they believe it to be in the beginning stages. Dad will start chemotherapy on June 14th and 15th, where he will find out how often his treatment will take place. He will need to be in remission for a few months before they can move forward with the transplant. He will also need to continue on dialysis at the same time. Please join us in praying for Dad as he undergoes chemo, that his health will remain stable, and that his mental health will remain positive throughout! Please also pray for our Mom, Linda. She will need to maintain her health, energy, and strength to keep caring for him!
