*****2/9/11 update*****
Lilly has relapsed as of today.  We were given 25% survival rate and approximate time of 6 weeks to 6 mos to live.  God help us!

I am Liliana (Lilly) Mendoza.  I am 15 mos old and have a mom, dad and two older brothers (Marc-3 and Triston-8) who love me very much.  December 9th my eye began to swell.  Mommy took me to the doctor right away because she was worried.  The doctor told us that it may be pink eye but when the antibiotic drops did not work mommy again took me to the doctor's office.  This time they told us they thought it was infection of the part of the eye that holds the ball and put me on a liquid antibiotic.  They said to watch it and come back in 3 days if not better.  Mommy called them in 2 because it still was not better.  We then went to an optomologist on December 17th to see what the issue was.  He told us it was urgent to get to the hospital for an emergency CT Scan.  We went to Baptist hospital at 1pm on December 17th and have been here every since.  They admitted me and after tests test and more tests on December 18th 2009 I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Lukemia (ALL).  I have been thru days of chemo and fever and tests and biopsies but I am a strong little girl so I know I will make it.  Mommy says everything will be ok and I will grow up to be a healthy happy beautiful little girl.
