I have some amazing news...My sister has finally found a perfect match donor for her upcoming kidney transplant surgery in Houston... and It's ME! I praise God for this privilege!
After many weeks of tests, planning and preparing the surgical date is fast approaching! Rick and I will be flying to Houston on Sunday February 10th. Transplant surgery is on Wednesday February 13th.
For 10 days I will be recovering while Rick will be able to work remotely, at my sister's home until Saturday, February 23rd when we will fly back to Seattle. I will be taking 6 -8weeks off of my ICU bedside nursing job due to a lifting restriction of 10 pounds.
We ask for your prayers
1. That God will lay down a healthy and safe path of recovery for both my sister and me.
2. That God will grant endurance to all the family and friends who are playing vital parts as He pulls together all the many pieces of this miraculous, life-producing puzzle!
