Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your encouragement and prayers!! LeOnna had not been feeling well for a period of time. In September LeOnna had her gallbladder taken out and we had hoped that would put her on the road to good health. Unfortunately she still wasn’t feeling better. After trying a few different things the doctors decided to do a CT Scan. On December 21st the scan showed a spot on LeOnna’s colon & some lesions on her liver. So off to Sioux Falls for some more tests. On the 23rd LeOnna had a colonoscopy performed  and it was said the spot was more than likely colon cancer. The pathology report confirmed what the Oncologist thought, LeOnna does have colon cancer. LeOnna was discharged  from the hospital and was able to spend Christmas with the Koehn’s & McLaury’s. Since all of this happened over the holidays we have been put in a holding pattern. All of LeOnna’s medical records have been sent to the Mayo Clinic. Our hopes & prayers are that LeOnna gets accepted to be treateted at Mayo. We also need prayers that the cancer has not spread and the lesions on the liver are from the gallbladder surgery.  We will use the CaringBridge site for updates.
