We thought it was pneumonia but... by Marvin Gibbs — 9/11/2016. On Thursday September 8th Leon Gibbs was admitted to Oconee Memorial Hospital in Seneca, SC for potential Pneumonia. Chest x-ray showed not pneumonia but rather a large tumor in his lungs that is wrapped around his trachea, aorta and his pulmonary vein (which carries oxygenated blood from the lungs to the heart). This tumor is inoperable and Leon is too weak to handle chemo therapy or radiation. Therefore His daughter Nanelyn Mitchell and Robert Mitchell are transferring him to their home in Central, SC where they will care of him until such time as he goes home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus.
