Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. It was a tremendous shock to all of us who now know this that Lela has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer that has spread quite significantly throughout her body. Having spent the first 10 days at Leominster Hospital she has now been transferred on Monday evening December 20th to UMass Medical in Worcester to be closer to the appropriate specialists that can both evaluate and educate her on any possible treatments and care. And while the initial prognosis is certainly not what we would have hoped for, we should all remain positive and channel that energy in her direction. I have created this site to post updates so that all those close to her can stay in touch with her condition without bothering her as she has enough on her plate at this point. Thank you all for your love, support and prayers and I hope this site gives you all a chance to stay tuned. And also while she has access to her cell phone and a tablet, that doesn't necessarily mean it's easy or comfortable to always use them right now so please, if you feel the urge to contact her via text or email, understand she may not be able to respond right away. This website will give all of us a way to communicate in a manner she can look in on and view the messages of love and support all at once. And finally PLEASE understand that if there are no updates posted it just means there is nothing relevant to report.
