Larry Janes

On March 3  Larry was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Since he had had cancer in 1990, he decided to return to Karmanos where he got such excellent care. We met with Dr. Schiffer and had a plan of action for procedures and tests. Unfortunately, he went into Harper/Karmanos emergency on Saturday, March 18. He is now on his second hospitalization. After a number of lumbar procedures, we believe his spinal cord and brain to be free of cancer. He then experienced low white blood cell count and infections which halted his chemotherapy. As of April 12, he will hopefully begin a 5 day regimen to attack the cancer throughout his lymph system. Cards, phone calls and texts have been absolutely incredible. The support has been extremely touching and we are all so grateful for your love. We will continue to update this daily to keep everyone appraised of his daily health. 
We also ask that you keep in your prayers our dear friend Tim the gardner in Lake Orion who has had a return of cancer- this time bone marrow and is very ill.
