Hello everyone just wanted to make it a little easier to update everyone so we are creating a page for lakens updates. Laken was born at 32.5 weeks on November 13th 2016. She was 4 pounds 7.5 ounces and 16.5 inches long. Right after we had her via c section she was brought up to the NICU because she was premature. She started out at 60% oxygen assistance with a cpap machine set at 4 but within a few hours she had already been weaned down to 26% oxygen assistance with the c pap continued at a 4, she was continuing to do well her first 2 days and as of last night Laken kinda took a step backwards they had to up her cpap from 4 to 6 and up her oxygen to 40% so they aren't going to try and wean her down at all today they just want her to stay stable if she can't than they will put a breathing tube in, they did put her in an incubator box today but it sounds like she will be here for about a month. She is down to 3.5 pounds. I will try to update at least once a day. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers they say she's quite a fighter and pretty feisty so that's a good sign!! (Until she's older...haha)
