Kylie Bryn was born September 8 @ 8:47 and weighed 8#11 oz and was 21 1/2 inches long. Our joy at her birth was marred our immediate awareness that something was amiss. She was rushed off to NICU immediately after birth because of the low amount of oxygen in her blood. After some testing it was obvious that she had a heart defect. She was flown to Salt Lake by airplane. I was very thankful that I could join her for the flight Joni was kept in the hospital for night but was released the next morning. My folks where able to bring her the next day. After more testing and many ultrasounds we found out that Kylie Bryn was born with a heart defect called transposition of the great  arteries. She also has a few holes in her heart that will have to be repaired. Because of the medication they are giving her they are also not able to locate one of the main arteries. There will be more test tomorrow and hopefully find out more then. They anticipated that open heart surgery will take place on Wednesday. We have not been able to hold her yet but are looking forward to the day we can. Your phone calls and texts are much appreciated even if we don't respond. At this time it seems very overwhelming. Thanks so much for the prayers and support. Continue to pray.
