Kim Neidel

❤🧡💛💚💙💜We’re reaching out to let you know that we are rallying around Kim Neidel and her precious family. Kim’s long, six-year fight with a very rare breast disease has led her and her medical team to a double mastectomy with a flat reconstruction, and we need your help. Let's get the Neidel’s fully covered in ALL ways and shower them with the Love of Christ so Kim can experience an even more beautiful and complete healing!!!
Kim was diagnosed with a rare form of breast disease called Pseudoangiomatous Stromal Hyperplasia. Because of its rare nature, the disease has left Kim and her family with very few answers over the years as she’s navigated through her treatments. Kim has had three surgeries to combat the disease and unfortunately, the disease has been very resilient. Since her last surgery just 7 months ago, the disease has quickly returned. Her medical team has concluded that Kim’s only option to rid her body of the disease is a double mastectomy surgery. Her surgery is scheduled for June 30th.  Kim has elected to have a flat closure due to undefined risks this disease could present with an implant or other type of reconstruction.
As you can probably imagine, the rapidly growing, recurring masses have taken a tremendous physical and mental toll on Kim over the years. The reality that the only way to rid her body of the diseased tissue is by double mastectomy was relatively easy to accept, but the decision to proceed with a flat closure has been very difficult emotionally. It is a decision that is going to take a lot of Prayer, Mental, and Physical adjustment moving forward. From Kim, “None of this feels much like a choice anymore at this point. As the masses and breast tissue grow to sizes far past what my body was meant to carry and continue to be so heavy, not only on my body but on mind and heart as well, my deepest hope and prayer is that I can get this surgery and finally put so much to rest that has been at unrest for years in my life.”
We want to be the support Kim and her family need during this time with the goal of answering Kim’s prayer for “rest” after an exhausting 6-year physical and mental battle.  We seek to assist Kim so she can experience complete healing and we are trusting God that she will lack nothing in her needs.
First need is Prayer! Kim is asking for prayer over Jeff, Maci and Tyler and for protection over her home and their hearts during this time as she knows it can be draining on her entire family.  She is asking for you to pray boldly over her mental health that she will be able to see the beauty in recovery and that her spirit will be in line with the Holy Spirit.  She is asking for prayer over her marriage during this time as well!
Next need is meals! The Neidel’s are on the Ketogenic Diet because Kim and Tyler both have epilepsy. This basically means High Protein with no Carbs and sugars ;) ... meats and cheese and lots yummy stuff like that if you have never heard of the diet. You can even buy cauliflower crust pizza from Double Dave’s that is fast food Keto! So if you want to love on the Neidel’s in this way, they would be so grateful. Kim is more than happy to guide you on easy things that are Keto friendly diet options!  FOR MEAL CALENDAR DETAILS: https://mealtrain.com/8gvno1
Last but certainly not least, the Neidel’s need help financially. There is an overwhelming financial burden that has accumulated over the years with Kim’s surgeries and that burden will continue through this surgery! Adding to the burden, Kim will be unable to physically work her Kimmie Care senior care business for 6 weeks per doctor's orders because the double mastectomy flat closure will limit her ability to move her arms and have full mobility.  This loss of much needed income hits at a time when the Neidel’s are continuing to pay off debt from previous surgeries and pay for the new medical expenses which will pile up with this surgery. Additionally, Kim will need “Mastectomy Essentials'' which can include the following:
-Mastectomy specific home care items
-Mental health care commonly needed following this type of surgery
-Clothes that will actually fit her body after her surgery (her entire wardrobe has to adjust to her new body)
-Home cleaning help

I’m sure there is much more but the Lord ALREADY knows the needs and He will provide through community. We are NOT going to be shy in asking for all the Neidel’s needs to be met ahead of time as Kim approaches surgery day. By meeting these needs, Kim will be blessed with the space needed to heal from this and continues to smile through it all! She is such a beautiful light and a wonderful example for all of us, so let's rally around Kim and her family and lift them up as a community!
