Kennedy Moore

Thank you for visiting.  Kennedy was at a friends house for a pool party and cookout Saturday night October 15,2016. She was looking at some pictures on a phone and got dizzy, and then fell backwards into a fire pit. She was taken by ambulance to Kosair  children's hospital. She has 2nd-3rd degree burns over approximately 20% of her body. While we are saddened by this we know God was with her protecting her. Praises for: falling backwards, her sweet face was untouched; she had her hair wrapped in a towel so her hair was sparred; an adult was right there to get her out quickly; she has no recollection of the fall; her hands, feet, and chest were not burned; and most importantly there was no airway compromise. She has remained alert and talking when not on pain medicine. Our immediate prayer requests are:  pain control,  no infection, her hydration status, and minimal 3rd degree burns. She will go to the operating room around 1230 today to be put to sleep so that her burns can be assessed and cleaned. The outpouring of love and support has been amazing and I am reminded of how great our God is and that he is holding our baby in his arms.   Kennedy loves cards so keep them coming. Visitors are good but we can't guarantee she will be awake ;)  We are taking it one hour at a time and trusting  in Gods timing. We love you all, Shawn, Terri, Makinna, Savannah, and Kennedy Moore
