Ken was diagnosed with uveal (eye) melanoma in December 2014. He underwent treatment at the Cleveland Clinic in January 2015 and had successful results. We are very grateful to the amazing team of doctors at the Cleveland Clinic.
In August 2017, it was determined that the melanoma was in the liver. After much research and consulting with several doctors, MD Cancer Clinic in Houston, TX was selected for treatment. Ken will undergo immunotherapy. This treatment stimulates the immune system to fight the cancer cells. We are encouraged by the positive feedback we have heard about this therapy. Initial treatment will be every 3 weeks for 3 months and then every other week for up to 2 years. Treatment began on Monday, August 21st. We are fortunate to have family in Houston that have opened up their house during this time.
Ken is strong, has a great attitude and has an overwhelming amount of love, support and prayers on his side. We will continue to provide updates through this website. God Speed...
