Kelley Johnson Kelley's Battle

First post: Dec 24, 2017 Latest post: Jan 28, 2018

Hey Everyone, wanting to fill you all in on what is going on in my life. I went through a medical emergency starting Saturday December 2nd when my husband Jeff took me to Evergreen emergency room in Redmond for a migraine headache. Months of forgetfulness and issues had already been happening and were the start of the development of this major problem.  A scan there led to the discovery of two tumors in my brain. I was immediately transferred to Harborview Medical Center ICU in Seattle. They did brain surgery on December 4th to biopsy the tumor and determined that I have Primary CNS Lymphoma. I was transferred to UW on Thursday December 7th after being taken on by Dr. Taylor of Alvord Brain Tumor Center. There I went through my first Chemo treatment and finally made it home on December 13th after five nights in the ICU and five at the UW Medical Center. I was so thrilled to get home to Jeff and our kids. Many family and friends helped us to get through this traumatic experience.

I will go through the battle of a lifetime in 2018 and will win this fight. I will have many more chemo treatments and other medical appointments.  We’ll try to keep you updated with how things are going. Thanks so much for all your love, support and prayers.
