Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

At the beginning of March of this year (2017), our mother Katrine was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.  She had not been feeling well and went to see her doctor.  Tests revealed she had a small tumor on her pancreas.  Katrine was scheduled for a type of surgery called the Whipple procedure on March 27 to remove the tumor.  During the initial stage of the surgery, three spots were discovered on her liver.  The surgeons decided not to proceed any further and not to remove the tumor so Katrine would have a shorter recovery period and be able to start a treatment plan more quickly.  After a week in the hospital, Katrine is now home recovering from her surgery.  She tires easily but is getting stronger every day.  She is scheduled to get her staples removed Tuesday, April 11.  Katrine has met with her oncologist and will begin chemotherapy treatments once the staples are removed, probably this same week.  Thank you to everyone who has reached out to us, supported and prayed for Katrine and us.  We will continue to need your support and prayers.  Gratefully, Katrine, Jeremy, Adam, and Zoe
