On the morning of Tuesday, July 27, The Norwood Fire Dept brought Kathy to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Needham. Once there she was admitted into the ICU and was being treated for COVID-19. She was placed on a CPAP and seemed to be doing ok but her team of doctors quickly decided that placing Kathy on a ventilator was what she needed at this time. After a few more hours, her team decided that Kathy needed to be at a hospital that was more equipped for a COVID patient as severe as Kathy is. She was then transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston via Medflight. Kathy remains at BI Boston and is in the fight of her life. Any one who knows her, knows how hard of a fighter she is and that giving up is not an option. Please send any prayers our way, we appreciate more than any of you will ever know.
