Last Thursday Kathy had an episode in Faulkton that brought her to Avera McKennan in Sioux Falls. We have since learned that she has stage 4 lung cancer that has spread to her brain. Surrounded by her loving family, she has continued to be in high spirits and still has the beautiful smile on her face we all know and love. She is scheduled Monday for a biopsy to determine the treatment necessary. The doctors will first deal with the cancer that has spread to her brain and go from there. Thank you all for your kind, encouraging words and prayers. We all appreciate all of the love and support shown.
