Kathryn B. Whaley

Welcome to Mom's story. She is our mother, your aunt, your great aunt, your sister, your grandmother and we know that she is at least one little newborn's Great Grandmother!  Kathryn has recently been diagnosed with Stage T 3 N 2 Large Cell Carcinoma Lung Cancer.  She had been dealing with some radiating shoulder pain and also was side-lined into the Emergency Room December 2, 2016 with pain down her leg.  Through the testing process the MRI showed what was lurking unnoticed.  She had a needle biopsy. Results came in December 14th. Her lung tumor is 10.8 centimeters and there is a 4.3 cm tumor on her lymph node adjacent to her lung below the windpipe.  This site is our way of keeping the family and friends informed on Mom's journey. If you know Kathryn at all, you know that it is a FAITH journey in her eyes, and an opportunity to see and experience the face of God and the loving care of the Holy Family in a profound way. 
Please pray for Mom's journey and that the healing grace of the Holy Trinity will see her through to health!

Dec 2 to january 6th Mom has learned a lot about Cancer and her situation- she is finishing her first round of chemo relatively unscathed.   Her PET scan showed that the chemo  is actually stomping out stage 4 Lung Cancer, but she is not worried. God has a plan!
