"I was born a poor black child. I remember the days, sittin' on the porch with my family, singin' and dancin' down in Mississippi..." (Julia would love this) Fast forward to December 13th, 2017. As Julia was walking across City Line Avenue to meet her cousin Patrick for dinner, she was struck by a vehicle and has been in critical condition ever since. This blog is going to be continuously updated by her father Pat and her cousin Jeannie. We are overwhelmed with the amount of support, love, and prayers that we have received from Julia's friends, family, teachers, and hospital staff. Thank you all so much. As her uncle Rich says, this is a marathon - not a sprint. An 1,000 mile journey and we are on mile 1. But we will get there. Julia is the most wonderfully determined, spiritual, kind, strong person we all have the pleasure of knowing and loving. Here is Dyan’s blog for more updates: (
