I want to first thank you for the good thoughts and prayers for my Mom.  I will be using this site to give updates on her condition as she will be in a tough fight with Chuck right at her side. You will be able to leave them comments on this page. This is going to be a very long road for them.  I hope I can make it a little easier to keep everyone updated since they will have a lot on their plate for awhile. 


I will give a brief history as to why we have this page. At the end of July when having routine lab work done, her results were abnormal and greatly concerned her Dr's.  The tests and multiple Dr's appointments followed quickly.  Her abdominal CT showed a mass in her pancreas.  She had a scope on 8/7/17 which confirmed it was a tumor but was told it was small. On Friday 8/11/17 the results from the biopsy will be back.  She will have another scope on 8/8/17 to place a drain to prepare her for surgery. The goal is to keep the drain internal and she doesn't end up having pancreatitis.  They will meet with the surgeon on 8/16/17.  The procedure she will be having is called a Whipple which is a very involved surgery and not sure if she will need chemo after the surgery.  Please check this site for current updates.
