In early February, Judy fell and dislocated her artificial hip. She was taken to St. John's hospital whereby they identified that she also had a mass on her uterus that needs to be removed. Judy was diagnosed with dementia, and Jack was determined by the doctors to not be able to make her medical decisions. As a result on Tuesday Feb. 21, Judy was awarded by the court as a guardian of Lutheran Social Services to make medical decisions for the next 30-60 days. Jack visits Judy every day after breakfast, arriving around 10 am , then stays till about 12:30. He then goes home for bit, and will return some days around 3-4:30 pm. He cannot drive after night, so he is unable to see Judy during that time.
As a community we have set up a meal train for him with dinners till next week. We are trying to get Meals on Wheels to assist him going forward. If you wish to assist in meals for him you can sign up at (
