Jon suffered an AVM brain aneurysm and stroke. He suffers from a congenical malformation that causes the aneurysms. Jon was treated at the University of Minnesota Hospital where he underwent 3 brain arterie gluing surgeries within 2 months and a 12 hours surgery on February 23rd to remove the aneurysm.
The surgery was successful, but he then suffered from a stroke to the right side of his brain that affected the left side of his body. He spent 9 Days in Nuero ICU.
Twenty-nine (29) years ago Jon suffered a ruptured aneurysm and as a result of this, not all the malformation was removed and this is what caused the current condition. The first aneurysm caused him to loose his short term memory and the peripheral vision of his left eye. He was hospitalized for 3 months with extensive rehab. Luckily, Jon made it through that one, and this one too! His recovery period now is unknown, but with rehab he is hoping to regain the full use of his left side.
