Welcome to John's CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place about John's journey to cure primary myelofibrosis, a rare bone marrow cancer. We're grateful that there IS a cure! The cure is a stem cell transplant with stem cells donated by a donor found through BeTheMatch.org and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston. John will be going into the hospital on July 4, with the transplant scheduled for July 11, 2017. He will remain hospitalized for about 30 days and will be home as his new immune and blood production systems gain strength for approximately one year. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting and thank you for your prayers!
