On September 21st I was diagnosed with Mesothelioma which is a terminal disease. This was discovered because I had sore shoulder for several months and finally went to my internist. After 7 X-rays he was concerned by the fluid in my lung and scheduled a cat scan which indicated a tumor in the lining of my lung. A biopsy and pet scan revealed a Mesothelioma diagnosis. Since then I have gone to Dana Farber to visit oncologists and the surgeon. On October 27 I met with a very good surgeon, Dr Bueno who runs the Mesothelioma clinic that has patients from around the world. He concluded that the tumor was too close to vital organs to operate and suggested chemo to shrink it after which he may be able to operate.
