Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most. On December 31, 2015 my brother John went to the ER with abdominal pain after being sick for several days. Almost immediately he was diagnosed with colon cancer that had metastasized to his liver where they found several large tumors that are inoperable. He started chemo soon after and a PET scan revealed the cancer also was in his bones. As a 39 year old healthy man and active father to his four year old daughter this was a complete shock to all of us. He had virtually no risk factors or symptoms until weeks before diagnosis. It was absolutely devastating. His young daughter Hana, Hana's mom Katie, and my brother are living with my mom and have become a great support system helping John eat and function daily. John lives everyday for his beautiful girl Hana. He is currently undergoing chemo treatments at CTCA Zion and couldn't be happier with the level of care. My family would truly appreciate your prayers for complete healing of my brother John.
