Our dear Ashland community,

Jim and I are so blessed to have your concern and good wishes and help.

Jim went to lunch with a friend on Black Friday.  The day lived up to it’s name as Jim had a stroke at the Black Sheep Restaurant.  Our wonderful friend got 911 called and they were there when I arrived.  He was in treatment in a matter of minutes.

Jim had a right side hemorrhagic stroke that initially left him unable to use or feel his left side.  Our wonderful son arrived the next morning and was here with me for  five days as we went through ICU and then regular hospital care.

Jim is now in intensive rehab at the hospital and making great strides.  He has 4-6 hours a day of rigorous physical and mental stimulation.  So, visiting is probably better done when he comes home.  He’s like an athlete in training right now.

His attitude is great and he laughs a lot about his new challenges.

Thanks for all the love and caring. I believe that prayers and wishes combine their energy together to fill the sails of our boats when we are on a new journey such as this one.  Please hold him in your heart and pray for the happiness and well-being of all the amazing folk who are out there saving and improving lives every day.

Jim is recovering because of the concerted power of prayer and other expressions of intentional energy shared and I am warmed by the generosity of spiritual outpourings.  i am humbly grateful to swim in this amazing sea of love!  My spirits are very strong and positive.

Thank you for being our community. It means the world to us both!

 In spirit, Kate

My incident arrived exactly 11 days after my 68th birthday! Quite a Surprise, for sure.

Love to all. I will see you soon, that happy day will soon be coming!  Jim
