About three weeks ago, Jim went to the doctor because his fingers and hands were becoming increasingly numb.  To his surprise, upon examination, the doctors rushed him into multiple surgeries when they discovered progressive spinal cord damage.  Following the surgery, they explained that if he had let this  problem go even a few weeks more he would have become permanently paralyzed. High School football caused the  initial injury followed by almost thirty years of intense computer modelling coupled with ongoing scar tissue development....and wa la==the 'perfect storm' suddenly erupted.  Now he is facing up to a year of grueling rehab in a facility,  so lets cheer him on in this journey.  If you have ever been forced to be in a hospital type place for more than a few weeks, you already understand how its much more than just a physical challenge --the mental and emotional trials are often just as overwhelming.
