Hello all! Welcome to Jessica's Caring Bridge page. On this page we will provide updates during Jessica's surgery and recovery. Jessica will be having a myectomy to correct a heart condition she has called Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). HCM is a disease in which the heart muscle (myocardium) becomes abnormally thick (hypertrophied). The thickened heart muscle can make it harder for the heart to pump blood. With this surgery, Jessica will be able to live a long, full life and be able to do a lot of the things that most of us take for granted every day, such as walking up a flight of steps. We are so excited for Jessica to be able to live on the other side of this disease --- on the winning side! We are relying on God during this time. "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose" - Romans 8:28. As believers in Christ, we know that God's promises never go void. We know God has a purpose for Jessica, and this surgery will only enable her to continue to fulfil that purpose!
