Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.

Jessica is 24. She’s been in a nurse in southern Oregon since 2017. She met her fiancé Myles while residing in southern Oregon. She is in Portland now, staying with her parents while she undergoes treatment.

Jessica was diagnosed with primary mediastinal large B cell non-Hodgkins Lymphoma (PMBCL). Basically a rare form of non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, with the primary tumor being in her chest. The tumor was found on April 11th 2019 and she started chemotherapy April 26th 2019. In August she finished chemotherapy and got a follow up PET scan in October 2019 which revealed the chemotherapy yielded response but did not 100% eliminate the cancer. A 5 cm x 1 cm tumor remained in her chest (on top of her heart). After a lot of research, consideration and prayer, Jessica and her family decided to go ahead with radiation despite the risks. Radiation will go for the duration of 20 business days. Starting December 16th and ending January 11th. She will go every day Monday-Friday. The next PET scan will be 12 weeks after radiation is complete.
