Dearest Family and Friends, 
Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep you updated in one place. We cannot say how much your presence,  support, words of hope and encouragement, and most of all your stunning heart filling love mean to the entire family. Thank you for visiting.


…by now, some of you have heard the news of Jerry’s cancer.  For those of you I have yet to be able to speak to personally, please forgive me for the emails or this bridge link alone.  Our lives have changed rapidly and incomprehensibly and we are swimming in overwhelm.    

I regret having to share that this is very serious and fast moving, and we have yet to firmly identify the extent or type of cancer.   We will need all of your love, support and whatever form of higher power you subscribe to:  prayers, magic, alchemy, pixie dust, love love and more love.  Make the medicine you send up strong and ongoing.  Send up healing energy of all manner to support whatever is next for this precious man.  Hold his amazing UC, Davis at Sacramento Campus Doctors and entire medical team in your hearts as well:  their skillful action, their mindful presence, their compassionate hearts.  We are grateful for all of you in our lives and so wish we were celebrating this fine man with you, and his 80th birthday on August 19, rather than praying for his wellbeing.  

I will likely be sharing update responsibility with others including dear "family" members Denise Sheldon & Betsy Sanders, so all of you, his loyal “race fans”, are updated on his precious well being.  If in my whirring mind I have missed someone that you believe would want and need to know and could be added to the strong energy needed to hold my beautiful husband and our family, please do send this along to them.  

With abundant gratitude and a heavy heart buoyed by all of your love and support, on behalf of Jerry and the whole family, know how grateful, how strongly held we already feel, how much love we have for each and all of you.  Cancer doesn't know what a fierce posse our beloved J'rome has!  You are an amazing grace!  Love, Chelle
