Welcome to Jenny’s CaringBridge website. We are using this site to keep family and friends updated in one place about Jenny’s progress during her stem cell transplant.

Jenny was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a cancer of plasma cells, in late June. For the past six months Jenny has been undergoing chemotherapy treatment to suppress the cancer cells so she can go through a stem cell transplant at Dana Farber. The goal was to essentially get the cancer in remission prior to the transplant to ensure the best results for long term which I am happy to report was accomplished. Now for phase two, the stem cell transplant. After a month off from treatment, Jenny headed back into Dana Farber on 12/27 for her first round of heavy chemo. The following 9 days at home, we need to administer growth shots to stimulate her bones to create more stem cells which will be used for her transplant. We will be headed back to Dana Farber on 1/7 for them to harvest her stem cells and then she will be admitted into Brigham and Women’s Hospital on 1/11 for the transplant until 1/28.

During these last six months Jenny and I have been incredibly touched by the outpour of support from our family, friends, work colleagues and community. Your thoughts and prayers have been such a positive influence for our family and has added to Jenny’s mental strength as she heads into this difficult part of her treatment. We are truly blessed to have such a strong support system and appreciate your words of hope and encouragement.

Thank you for visiting.
