Dear Family and Friends, We've created this site to keep everyone updated on Jennifer’s progress. As a family we feel incredibly blessed by all your love, prayers and support, near and far 💗. While we would like to talk with each and every one of you, we hope you will understand how this site can help us keep in touch with everyone, all at once. Our goal is to keep everyone updated as much as possible. These updates will appear as "Journal" entries. We are grateful this is available to us, and to you!
TOGETHER we will support Jennifer in anyway she needs, as she bravely battles Stage 2 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma/ Her 2 Positive.
A lumpectomy is inevitable for sometime later this year, but it will be preceded by several rounds of chemotherapy in the coming weeks, as radiology results also revealed that the cancer has entered the margin of one lymph node under her arm.
The game plan is to shrink the decent sized tumor prior to surgery, as well as to attack the cancer in the one lymph node (and any others potentially affected), thereby reducing the number requiring removal at the time of surgery. Pray specifically for this!
She is receiving wonderful care at Capital Health Center. Her surgeon, Dr. Lisa Allen, Director for Comprehensive Breast Care is a talented and compassionate surgeon, having completed her fellowship at MD Anderson! Her oncologist Dr. Linden has been a wonderful guiding light thus far.
We are all optimistic for a positive outcome, and trusting God through this journey. She is living in Hopewell, NJ surrounded by a loving community of friends, and a caring church body.
MOST importantly, please share your messages of HOPE & encouragement with Jennifer! She is always a caretaker of others (and their pups!), and we hope that during this time we can return the many blessings to her.
