Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. For those who may not know, Jennifer has Cystic Fibrosis, a genetic disease with her lungs which makes them slowly fill with mucus throughout her whole life. What started out a long time ago and progressed to being added to the transplant list for new lungs in June, she was in the hospital for another stay at our frequent home away from home for the last year. Life has been getting especially difficult for her since October of last year, nearly a year ago to the week, when she needed to be on oxygen full time. On Wednesday the 18th of October, after an incredibly difficult night for her, we received some life-changing news. Someone was unfortunately ending their time on this world, but through their and their families generosity, have given Jennifer a gift allowing her a chance to have a new beginning and a new life. This is the miracle we've been waiting for, the rest of the story unfolds in the journal entries documenting what we've come to call her lung birthday and the beginning of her new life.
