Jennifer was admitted to Our Lady of the Lake hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana following a reaction to a blood transfusion.  She was intubated and sedated.  In the days following her hospitalization she went into multiple organ failure.  The decision was made to transfer her to Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans for a liver transplant evaluation.  On Friday, January 10 the Transplant Team approved her for a liver transplant.  On Tuesday, January 15, she was officially put on "the list."  Two hours after notification, she had a liver offer.   The transplant took place on Wednesday, January 16.  She returned to the OR twice on January 17 to stop bleeding.
