It served me well for almost 18 years but I'm in need of an upgrade of my aortic valve which was replaced May 5th, 1999. Surgery is scheduled for Friday, March 10th at 7AM at Kaiser in San Francisco. My surgeon, Dr. Pompili, has successfully operated on two of my friends (so he's highly recommended) and specializes in the procedure I need. He will be assisted by the head of cardiac surgery, Dr. Melikian, so you might say I have a "dream team" working on/for me.
