Jeff was diagnosed with bladder cancer on 22 Dec 2018. Since then he has had three surgeries. The first was on the 22nd to install a stent in his left kidney because it was blocked and infected. The second was on Jan 7th to remove the tumor from his bladder. They were able to remove some but not all of it because it is invasive and grown into the muscle wall of the bladder and is also blocking the left ureter (the tube between the kidney and the bladder). The third surgery was on Jan 15th where the surgeons went through the stent in Jeff's kidney to remove some stones and also determine how far up the ureter the tumor was. They found the top two-thirds clear and the bottom (near the bladder) blocked. The good news is that he will be able to keep both kidneys. He will need to have to have his bladder removed and have chemo. We are now waiting to meet with the oncologist to determine the next step.
