Jeanne has had x-rays and a CT-scan on Thursday, 3/2. We saw the Pulmonologist on the following day. He said that things did not look good, that Jeanne has cancer in her left lung and in the lymph nodes in her chest as well as some fluid around her lungs and heart. He scheduled a biopsy for Tuesday, 3/7. After that procedure, Dr Chinsky explained to me that he found several cancerous nodes in the left lung as well as in the lymph nodes in the chest. We are waiting for the biopsy report and an appointment with an oncologist.
Dr Chinsky called Friday (3/10) at 5pm to say that the cancer was small cell cancer, a fast growing type. He will have his office link us with the Regional Cancer Center and an oncologist first thing Monday morning.
