Jason Ellenberger

When Jason was 2 years old he was diagnosed with Type 1, Juvenile Diabetes. 41 years later, many surgeries later he is ready for his most important one. Jason is on the donor list and we've hoped/ prayed to bypass dialysis all together, but recently found out that his kidneys are functioning at 12%. As be begin to prep for his dialysis treatment/surgery he received a phone call. They have a donor and Jason is the "backup" recipient. What does this mean? This means he is on top of the list and we could be traveling up to Winston-Salem NC tomorrow to get his new pancreas/kidney.
