In the beginning of April, Jarell started dealing with migraine-like headaches. He had just started a new job so we attributed it to the stress of learning a new trade, although that seemed very out of character for him. His headaches and vomiting continued to worsen and he made a visit to the doctor. The dr didn't seem overly concerned and suggested he consult his eye dr, since he had just gotten a new prescription before the headaches started. He made an appt and started using his old prescription again but didn't see any change. He was forcing himself to go to work but was having to take off some or leave early because of feeling so badly, all the while downing a concerning amount of pills to be able to function.  Then a few days ago, he started having double vision as well and we were getting VERY concerned and pushed for a CT scan "just for peace of mind". We went for an appointment Tues afternoon, May 18th and 2 1/2 hours later the dr called with the shattering news, "the scan showed a mass pushing on the 4th ventricle of the brain, please head to the ER as soon as possible". While the news was overwhelming, Jarell also felt a sense of relief to find some answers to his health issues and confirmation to his intuition that something was really "wrong"! Thanks to all the outpouring of love and prayer support for Jarell, our family and his girlfriend, Melanie Weiler. We are beyond thankful  that this did not occur while he was serving in Ghana and also so thankful to serve a God who will never leave us or forsake us!
